Flu-Urgent Care

There’s Still Time To Visit Our Urgent Care For Flu Shots

Urgent Care: Round two of the flu

It’s as if it’s a boxing match and it’s round two for Influenza (or the flu) with Christmas break now over, the new year beginning and school back in session. The flu is a strong enemy to battle and it is still in its peak season. If you haven’t caught the flu, it doesn’t mean you won’t. The flu isn’t backing down any time soon, but the good news is that it isn’t too late to visit one of our urgent care clinics (click here for locations) to get your flu shot.

People who are more susceptible to getting the flu include:

  • People who have compromised immune systems, already.
  • Pregnant women.
  • Young children between ages 6 months to 4 years old.
  • People over the age of 65.

If you think you already have the flu, timely detection is important for optimal treatment. The onset of the flu is generally very sudden and you will notice symptoms such as muscle aches, soreness, fever and extreme fatigue. If you have all of these symptoms and your body temperature is above 101 degrees, it is a pretty good indication that you have the flu.

The flu is capable of knocking you off of your feet! Other symptoms can include nausea, possible diarrhea and possible difficulty breathing. These are symptoms you should take seriously. It’s better to see an urgent care doctor sooner rather than later.
